The Ten Minute Game

The Ten Minute Game, the game that lasts a few minutes, if you don't fail.

Controls:

WASD to move

Mouse to look around

E to interact

Space to back out (menus, get off the PC, etc)

Backspace to abort restarting cameras

Don't use the flashlight, after enough times the phone password becomes a lot more complicated

Story: You have found yourself in the cross-hairs of a drone army. this is obviously not good. You go to call police for help, but you discover that the drones have hijacked your phone line and password locked it.

Objective: Figure out the pass code to the phone so you can call the police, and then survive while you wait for them to arrive.

Tools: The main room has a PC which shows a camera feed of the adjacent room. Pressing left arrow will toggle the secondary menu for turning off power, or resetting the camera if it goes offline.

Across from the desk is a closet which while hiding can protect from anything. On the other side of the room is a bookshelf which is a guide for figuring out the password. It's unfortunately complicated.

Threat 1: Drone orbiting the house. You can tell it's there when a giant beam of light

sweeps across the window.  If you stand in it's sight-lines for too long it will (presumably?) shoot you.

Threat 2: Your front door is pass code locked, but it doesn't take long for the drone army to hack it.

To prevent this, interact with the front door and type in the old password to generate a new one. There is a light on top of the front door visible through the cameras which will change colour depending on how long you have before they break in. Also the current door password is kept on the PC's secondary menu.

Threat 3: If you hear a rustling of bushes, there's a good chance it's a drone hiding outside the window behind the phone. It will attack if you try to use the phone.

The drone will hide when you are looking so check the cameras to verify. If you don't react quickly enough, this drone will re-lock the phone.

To get rid of it, turn off power in the PC's secondary menu until  you hear rustling again, indicating it left.

The Password:

Each digit of the pass code has it's own logic.

1rst Digit: It's the first digit of the password on the door. Every time the password on the door updates, the password will also update accordingly.

2nd Digit: The amount of digits in the phone's model number. The model number can be found when interacting with the phone. If the model number is 27432, there are 5 digits, so the resulting number is 5.

3rd Digit: The current hour. If it's currently 8:XX, the digit would be 8, digits past 9 will be carried. So if the door lock started with 8, and the model number had 5 digits, the time was 12:XX, the passcode so far would be 8 (5+1) 2

4th Digit: 5. If you haven't used flashlight it will be 5. If you use the flashlight more than 5 times, it's the amount of times you changed the door lock (which thinking about it now, that is like impossible to remember, so don't use the flashlight).

So with a door lock starting with 8, model number with 5 digits, and current time of 12:XX, the passcode would be 8625

- You can't move while repairing the camera system, so if you need to abort early, press backspace

- The bookshelf in the corner is your friend, interact with it to get information that you need

- It gives you the option to "repair generator" on the second PC page, but it doesn't do anything yet
